Education & Background
Michael has a diverse background in human services, academia and business, reflecting a passionate, lifelong curiosity about people and their potential for success. He holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he also worked as a member of the faculty teaching classes in communication and conflict resolution, and conducted original research on emotions and organizational behavior. He has trained and worked as a family therapist, court mediator and director of community mediation services, honing his skills in communication, facilitation and leadership. Michael is a graduate of the coaching program at New Ventures West and is certified as a professional coach. He lives with his wife in Boise.
